Third Par­ty Liability Insurance (P&I)

Protection and indem­ni­ty (P&I) insurance provides coverage for damage to anoth­er per­son­’s prop­er­ty such as oth­er vessels, docks or build­ings, as well as to indi­vid­u­als caused by acci­dent you com­mit. In most cas­es boat liability insurance covers claims and lit­i­ga­tion involv­ing set­tle­ments and legal expenses.

P&I insurance provides the most comprehensive insurance cov­er­ages for liability and will cov­er any judgements against you and pay to defend you in admi­ral­ty courts.

Hull Insurance

Hull insurance is a direct and all-risk insurance policy that covers damage. In addi­tion, there is the pos­si­bil­i­ty of replace­ment costs insurance for par­tial loss­es. It includes coverage for phys­i­cal dam­ages or total loss includ­ing hull, engines, machin­ery, mate­ri­als, equip­ment and every­thing con­nect­ed there­with due to storm, fire lightning, force majeure, theft, or accident.

Gen­er­al­ly, this coverage will be on a comprehensive “All Risks” and “Agreed Value” basis.
