What is covered in a yacht insurance policy?

Yacht insurance will typically include ‘all risks’, cover for protection against physical loss or damage to the hull machinery and equipment, and a wide spectrum of third-party liability covers. Liability insurance can cover damage to other vessels and property, and injury to people both on board and off the yacht, including crew members.

The insurance on offer ranges from the most sophisticated hull and machinery insurance to protection and liability insurance, as well as the most needed accident, health and life insurance for the crew.

Specific cover for the captain and crew includes personal accident cover and emergency medical expenses cover.

Insurance cover for your yacht can extend to the vessel’s inventory, dinghies, accessories, and personal effects. In addition, we can provide cover to protect your yacht when in build or undergoing an extensive refit programme, as well as whilst she is in transit.
